Today I resume a new introduction series for the "Hidden-Beauty" small tonws or villages in Japan, which are not yet known to many people, particularly for overseas tourists and visitors. Even though a lot of local people living in Japan may not know about the attractive points of those small tonws or villages.
Basically it is one of the original objectives, which I wanted to introduce to more foreigners those "hidden-beauty" small towns or villages in Japan, when I started my personal blogs last time. In general, the most of foreign travellers tend to go to famous and big places for their holidays, such as Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Hokkaido, since in my opinion it is not easy for foreigners to gather necessary information related to holiday places in Japan, while it is neither easy for those small tonws or villages to promote themselves to foreign tourists more aggressively & efficiently, mainly due to a certain difficulty in language communication or culture understanding.
From today, I will cover my introduction on the hidden-beauty small towns or villages, designated by Japanese government (MAFF; the Ministry of Agreculture, Forestry and Fisheries) as per their website (http://www.maff.go.jp/j/nousin/noukei/binosato/b_hyakusen/hyakusen.html).
The first introduction is Higashikawa town in Hokkaido.
