J-BOND team is really enjoying in Kyoto.
At the first night on arrival at Kyoto, they went to GION for dinner. I was so worried that they might be over-charged by a restaurant. It is well known to everyone that GION is a high-class restaurant & entertainment areas in Kyoto.
Later I was told that the team checked earlier and found out one of famous "KAITEN-Sushi" offered at a reasonable price. I got the feedback from the team after dinner that the restaurant charged them only Yen110.- for each Sushi menu. Then, I felt relieaved so much afterwards.
Originally GION was developed as a small merchant town for GION-SHA (thereafter it became to Yasaka Shrine). It is famous to know that there are "GEISHA" houses, "MINAMI-ZA" (for Kabuki Theatre), "GION-KAIKAN" (other than restaurants, bars and cafes.
Definitely you should vist GION for sightseeing at night, if you have a chance to go to Kyoto.
